Chances are, if you think you're good at art, you probably suffer from the Dunning Kruger effect.
I firmly believe people who think they're good are the worst at art, as they will never improve. It's the ones that realize they suck that will go far, because they'll always have a reason to improve.

It's fine if you're keeping it to yourself, but it's NOT YOURS. You don't have the right to put it online unless you've had explicit permission to do so. People don't like it when their art is used without their say so.

Dear deviantArt,
Why do you support art theft? You have a traced base category, despite your rules saying that tracing is not allowed. I have a theory that you are too lazy to respect original artist's rights, and motion that you please stop. Remove the traced base section which supports thiefs and their unauthorized use of original artist's work. These thiefs are not artists, and do not deserve to have rules bent so they can cheat people who work hard to improve and claim the work all by themselves.

But you seemed interested in getting more information and I think this video is a good one to share, especially with someone with an open mind in this controversial debate.

Well, it doesn't really go against my own opinion. That's all. It's a point I've been repeatedly making. I agree with this, and always will. Extreme situations call for extreme actions.
